Description
We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Piping Superintendent to supervise piping field employees and coordinate materials, equipment, tools, etc. required for piping projects. This position works with project managers as required for successful project installations.

- Maintain required manpower levels, identify future personnel needs and hire/train as necessary for long term goals
- Direct piping personnel to achieve completion of project on schedule, within budget, with quality workmanship that conforms to original plans and specifications
- Support project and construction management with planning and utilization of proper means and methods for piping activities to include review of drawings, field measures and sketches
- Identify welding certification, training and experience appropriate for assignment scope
- Adhere to and support the company's Health, Safety & Environmental policies
- Participate in sales efforts with the Mechanical Department
- Provide training and growth opportunities for employees
- Provide feedback to team and office staff
- Coordinate scheduling with project managers
- Coordinate job activities with other trades
- Assist all departments of AC Corporation to accomplish assigned tasks
- Continually improves procedures and practices; develops standards to improve efficiency and safety
- Encourage foremen to excel on their individual projects
- Must have experience working on construction sites and have followed construction safety guidelines
- Experience with planning, layout, fabricating, assembling, installing and repairing mechanical piping systems, equipment and products
- Ability to interpret specifications, blue prints and work orders
- Must be familiar with NDE requirements, Weld Mapping and Material Traceability
- Ability to analyze and solve work problems
- Must be able to read and understand weld symbols, weld procedures, mechanical and structural drawings
- Ability to study schedules and estimate worker-hour requirements for job completion
- Ability to communicate effectively and lead in a positive manner
- Positive "can do" attitude and strong work ethic
- Ability to use MS Office to include Outlook, MS Word and EXCEL
- Must be flexible with working hours to support project needs
