· Ensure that assigned work areas operate in a pro-active safety focused methodology in compliance with all OSHA and company safety guidelines.

· Understand the set up and operation of all shop equipment in the fabrication shop such as Press Brakes, Shears, Welders, Rollers, Plasma Tables, etc. 

· Inspect equipment periodically to determine problems and necessary maintenance.

· Report any defective equipment to the Manufacturing Shop Manager so corrective action can be taken.

· Continually evaluate processes and methods, recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment, performance, utilization of people, and quality of product.

· Act as a technical resource to address and resolve inquiries and problems; analyze and resolve work problems and assist workers in solving work problems.

· Maintain departmental supplies, tools, equipment, and order as necessary.

· Ensure the completion of all required maintenance paperwork, records and documentation.

· Will be required to be trained on all shop equipment associated with completing tasks for work to be performed, including any additional recommendations from the EHS manager.

Qualifications

· Sheet Metal Shop maintenance experience necessary.
·· Experience and certification for material handling equipment to include forklifts.

· Pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical troubleshooting is a plus.
