Description

We are hiring an experienced Business Development Engineer to attract new business for the company as well as support and help as needed with current customers. We require sales experience in the Industrial HVAC Industry. This position is located at our Greensboro office. 


Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Attract new business and support current customer group. 
  • Act as a key leader in the entire work acquisition process including management, coordination and delivery of the pre-construction phases of the project and extensive client contact.
  • Work closely with Mechanical Group during hand-off meetings.
  • Determine costs associated with projects to include cost estimates. Work with estimating department during the estimating phase.
  • Job bidding process
  • Prepare written detailed proposals and follow up until a project is awarded and is handed over to the mechanical/construction group.
  • Visit job sites to pre-qualify jobs.
  • Ability to assist the customer with developing a design/build solution. 
 

Qualifications, experience and education:

  • Minimum of 15 years in an HVAC sales management role.
  • Must have strong knowledge of HVAC equipment, systems, and mechanical construction industry.
  • Prefer bachelor’s degree in related field such as Mechanical Engineering.
  • P.E. license is beneficial. 
  • Construction law is a plus
  • General knowledge of building automation systems.

  • Ability to negotiate on a high level with customers.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with all levels of staff, including technical, professional and upper management within AC Corporation.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong work ethic.
  • Highly organized and ability to multi-task responsibilities.
  • Computer skills to include MS Word, EXCEL, Outlook and online applications.
  • Must be physically able to visit job sites to include climbing ladders, squatting and walking.
