Description
We are looking for an experienced Sheet Metal Superintendent to supervise sheet metal field employees and coordinate materials, equipment, tools, etc. required for sheet metal projects. This position works with project managers as required for successful project installations. 

Typical Duties
  • Assists project managers with verification of all items covered in the specifications
  • Assists project manager with timely delivery of material to project
  • Assists with survey of sheet metal jobs
  • Reviews drawings, field measures and sketches
  • Maintains sufficient manpower for jobs
  • Participates in sales efforts with the Mechanical Department
  • Provides training and growth opportunities for all employees
  • Provides feedback to office staff
  • Coordinates scheduling with project managers
  • Coordinates job activities with other trades
  • Assists all departments of AC Corporation to accomplish assigned tasks
  • Continually improves procedures and practices; develops standards to improve efficiency and safety
  • Encourages foremen to excel on their individual projects

Qualifications
  • Must have experience working on construction sites and have followed construction safety guidelines
  • Experience with planning, layout, fabricating, assembling, installing and repairing sheet metal parts, equipment and products, utilizing a knowledge of working characteristics of metallic and nonmetallic materials, machining, and layout techniques
  • Ability to interpret specifications, blue prints and work orders
  • Ability to analyze and solve work problems
  • Ability to study schedules and estimate worker-hour requirements for job completion 
  • Experience leading craft workers and coordinating activities 
  • Ability to use MS Office to include Outlook email
